Recycling Collection
Through our numerous contracts we collect materials at the kerbside that are sent to processors for recycling and reuse; these materials include; paper, cans, plastic, cardboard, green waste, food waste and textiles.
We have been operating dedicated recycling collections for local authorities for many years and we have arrangements within the market place that allow for the collected materials to be recycled into high quality products.
We offer a variety of collection systems depending upon the needs of the client authority. These can range from a sack based system for paper, through toa box based system for a wider range of recyclables, to householders being provided with a dedicated wheeled bin for virtually all of their recyclables. For each system a different type of vehicle is necessary. This means that an authority's recycling collections need careful planning so that they fit efficiently into the wider waste management infrastructure and services that are being provided as part of a long term strategy.
Materials are bulked up in sufficient quantity at a facility often known as a Material Recycling Facility (MRF). Some of these MRFs have sophisticated sorting systems that can sort mixed recyclables into each commodity. This means that materials can be delivered 'co-mingled' in any combination. Other MRFs do not have the capacity to sort material and therefore require materials to be delivered as separate streams by material type. At Focsa Services we have experience in collecting materials that are either 'co-mingled' or separate.
Working innovatively and pro-actively within the market place we offer best value and sustainable outlets for materials; at all times allowing clients a fully auditable trail of materials end destinations.
