FOCSA WINS BEST PEOPLE AWARD

The awards were held on 19^th November 2009 at South Devon College, Paignton. The Tavistock contract has put almost it’s entire workforce (98%) through NVQ level two over the last year. Contract Manager, Tony Milton, said he was “very surprised” to pick up the award considering the level of the finalist Focsa were up against (Dame Hannah Rogers and the Grosvenor Hotel) he said “However, I do feel that as a company over the last 12 months we have shown a lot of interest in our employees, and it is this that has led to the award.” He added, “We are committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and to do that you need to ensure they are well trained. It makes for a greater morale and service. A workforce that is valued is more valuable.”
